Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Ghee
  • 1/2 cup Basmati rice Rinsed 3 times and drained
  • 8 Almonds, peeled and chopped Soaked overnight in water
  • 1 tsp Bee pollen
  • 10 strands Saffron threads, torn
  • 1/2 tsp Celtic sea salt, just a pinch
  • 1 tbsp Raisins, or other dried fruit (dates, figs) optional
  • 1 1/4 cup Water

Instructions

Soak the almonds

  • Saok the almonds overnight in the frig in water to cover

Prepare the rice

  • Drain, peel and chopped the almonds
  • Rinsed and drain the basmati rice, and put into a saucepan.
  • Add the ingredients – ghee, chopped almonds, bee pollen, saffron, salt and raisins (optional)
  • Heat and saute a bit, about 2 minutes.
  • Add the 1 1/4 cup water and cover tightly with a lid. Cook on low heat for 13 minutes.
  • Remove from heat. Allow to sit about five minutes, then remove lid and fluff with a fork.
